The voter’s weren’t too happy with Danny Gokey‘s rendition of Terrence Trent D’Arby’s “Dance Little Sister” and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful”. Gokey is down and out leaving the stage exclusively for Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.

Allen was the underdog three week ago but has consistently garnered the praise of the judges and votes of the people. Randy Jackson liked Allen’s rendition of Kanye West’s “Heartless” so much that he said it was “better than the original”, Simon Cowell was all praise for Allen and said that it made him a contender.

Adam Lambert Feeling Good On American Idol

As part of the Rat Pack episode on American Idol last April 28, Adam Lambert sang “Feeling Good” and impressed the judges with his strut-filled entrance. Simon Cowell said that Lambert’s entrance was the “Best entrance we’ve had all year” while Paula Abdul likened Lambert to Olympic Gold medalist Michael Phelps.

Jay Leno released from St. Joseph Hospital

Never missing a day of work as the host of the “The Tonight Show” for 17 years, Jan Leno finally succumbed to illness and spent a night in St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank after the host told his staff that he was “not feeling well”. Leno’s spokesmen told the press that Leno wasn’t feeling well and was rumored to have suffered from food poisoning.

Leno was released Friday from the hospital and was seen back at the studio writing a few jokes for his Monday show.

NBC aired re-runs in place of Thursday and Friday’s “The Tonight Show” when Leno called in sick.

John Mayer Dating Scheana Marie Jancan

Rumor has is that John Mayer is dating model Scheana Marie Jancan. Mayer is reported to have met Jancan at the Beverly Hill lounge.Sources say that John Mayer flirted with Jancan the whole time and he told her that she was “cute”.

John Mayer recently split up with Jennifer Aniston. Aniston allegedly points out that Mayer’s immaturity was a source of the breakup.

The YouTube Symphony Orchestra plays at Carnegie Hall

Talk about collaboration. A first in the history of music, the YouTube Symphony Orchestra performed at Carnegie Hall last April 15 and showed that world that people from all over the globe can overcome cultural differences and create something worthwhile.

What makes the YouTube Symphony Orchestra unique is that the orchestra is composed of YouTube users who entered YouTube’s Symphony Orchestra contest hoping to get the chance to play on-stage at Carnegie Hall in New York with other YouTube users.

The contest was open to both professional and amateur musicians of all ages and was initially screened by one other that the YouTube community. The finalists were then was judged by the world’s most renowned orchestras.

The orchestra played renowned Chinese composer Tan Dun‘s new musical piece composed just for the occasion and was directed by Michael Tilson Thomas.

Susan Boyle, the Unexpected Hit

Susan Boyle, is not a very attractive 47 Year old woman from Scotland. Very playful on-stage during the first episode of “Britain’s Got Talent“, no one took her seriously. But the minute she opened her mouth and sang “I dreamed a dream” from Les Miserable, everyone’s doubt was washed away by her powerful and beautiful singing.

The Daily Record yesterday uncovered the one and only record Susan Boyle made way back in 1999. The record was entitled “Cry me a River” and was recorded for a charity CD.

Jamie Foxx Apolegizes to Miley Cyrus

After telling poor Miley Cyrus to “make a sex tape” and “do some heroin” on his radio show “The Foxxhole”, actor Jamie Foxx made a public apology during the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” saying that “There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart.”

Miley Cryus has yet to release a statement but tweeted this on her twitter page : “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all”.

Foxx and his crew decided to make fun of the “Hannah Montana” star when she publicly vowed to ruin Radiohead’s career when they refused to meet Cyrus backstage during the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

Robyn Gibson files for a Divorce

Mel Gibson‘s wife filed for divorce today after 28 years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences.

The mother of Mel Gibson’s seven children, Robyn Gibson, had her divorce filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court and has asked for privact regarding the matter stating:

Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so

The couple have been living apart for 3 years.
