After adopting David Banda from Malawi in 2006, 50-year-old Madonna sets her sights on another Malawi orphan to adopt.

Unfortunately for Madonna, the Malawi court decides against Madonna citing that the singer did not meet the adoption requirement where the prospective adoptive parents should reside in the South African nation for at least 18-24 months.

The Malawi government actually encourages adoption of it’s orphans to responsible parents, but fears that Madonna’s celebrity status and other celebrities adoption habits might lead to child trafficking.
