Berkeley economist, Christina Romer will be appointed chairman of the council of economic advisers by President-Elect Barack Obama.

Romer will be joining Barack’s economic think tank comprised of Tim Geithner, Larry Summers and Peter Orszag.

Christina Romer is currently a professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
